My name is Cheryl Green and I am the Missouri Account Manager with CaptionCall. CaptionCall is a No-Cost Federally Funded service through the American's with Disability Act. We provide Amplified and Captioning phones for people who have difficulty hearing and understanding on the telephone. We are trying to get the word out about this program, especially now that many people are social distancing and are much more isolated at home. The telephone has become a lifeline to the outside world. But so many people who are hearing impaired (about 1/3 of people over 60) really struggle with their phone conversations with family, friends, caregivers, doctors and even 911 services. Some people avoid using the telephone completely, which creates even more isolation. I am very interested in helping these people! Our mission is Helping people with hearing loss stay socially connected for a longer, happier, healthier life! Very few people realize that this program is available at No Cost to them. We bring the CaptionCall phone to their home, install it, and show them how to use it.
